Weeks 2 Build Season

As week two comes to a close, the build season is officially 33% over. The wheels are mounted on the drive base, the gearboxes constructed, and the bumpers are in production. The lower arm pieces have been cut and are ready for welding. T-shirts and handouts have been ordered. The animation has been storyboarded, and the team has started modeling. Overall, progress is good, and we are optimistic that we will finish ahead of schedule.

Since Thursday there have been two things that have made some progress for the robot. One is the kicker has been finished and put on, but some tweaking of the speed still has to be done. Also Mike has been working on the arm and is making good progress but he still has a way to go, should be finished by next Sunday. The tower and tunnel are finished as well to help testing the different parts. The bumpers have been started and we are waiting for the correct bolt size and the fabric has to be put on.
